Cadets at Cadet College Fateh Jang are provided with comfortable bedding, including beds, mattresses, pillows, pillowcases, and bedsheets. However, parents should bring blankets or comforters for their children, as the college does not supply these. Each cadets room is fully equipped with a table and chair for study purposes.
At Cadet College Fateh Jang, lunch is served on time, and cadets are provided with some free time afterward. On Saturday nights, a new movie is shown in the college theater for recreational purposes. Throughout the term, cadets have regular tests, particularly on Monday mornings. Sundays are a more relaxed day, with cadets either resting, studying, or engaging in outdoor activities like hiking. Parents may request a short break for their children once a month.
In the evenings, the cadets engage in study sessions and preparation for upcoming tests. The academic staff provides ongoing support to help each cadet overcome challenges. Cadets parents are always welcome to visit the college during weekends or weekdays, but they must first arrange a meeting with the appropriate Housemaster or Vice Principal. During the first month of a cadets stay, parental visits are restricted to facilitate the cadets smoother adjustment to the routine and culture of the college.

Laptops or fee waiver scholarships are given to those Cadets who secure more than 90% marks in Board Exams.
Every year, in the final week of December, an open competitive exams are held in College campus, Islamabad / Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, and Karachi for Class VI that consists of three examinations (Mathematics, English, and Urdu).
However, pupils in Classes VII, VIII, IX, and XI would also take a General Science/Science Subject paper in addition to Math, English, and Urdu. Each paper has a one-hour time limit.

The College entrance examination is a challenging test that requires hard work and dedication.The syllabus provided on our website is meant as a general guide for candidates, and any question that may be applicable can be asked in any paper in any form. Admission to Cadet College Fateh Jang opens every year in August for the
6th, 7th, 8th & 9th, and in May for 11th Class. The entrance exam and interview are held in the second week of December each year. Admission is solely merit-baset, and students from across Pakistan and abroad are encouraged to apply. The results are confidential, and the Selection Committee criteria are final.

For admission to any class at Cadet College Fateh Jang, a candidate must either be currently studying in that class or have passed the previous class with at least 65% marks at the time of applying. The maximum age of the candidate at the time of applying for admission is as follows, as per the college policy for cadets seeking admission to the top cadet college in the region.
